Habit 4: Daily Exercise

Super job completing the third week of Habitspark Diet Foundations!  Starting today, you’ll be tracking: Habit 1: Healthy BreakfastHabit 2: Food Planning, Habit 3: Healthy Lunch, & Habit 4: Daily Exercise.

Habit 4: Be active for at least 15 minutes every day.

Take a look at your daily obligations and make sure you can carve out at least 15 minutes a day for being active.

First thing in the morning is a good choice for many people because  it gives you energy to start the day, can improve your ability to sleep at night, and it is unlikely something will come up that will keep you from being able to exercise.

Sometimes the afternoon or evening works better.  Try not to exercise within 3 hours of your bedtime, because it can negatively impact your sleep.

Another option is to use part of your lunch break for a walk, run, or a quick gym break (Don’t short-change your time to sit down and have a good lunch, though!).
